The adventure we have been waiting to attend for over six months finally came and went without a hitch.  Here we will be re-caping our trip through video and photo from our trusty iphones in a series of four posts.  Our adventures started in sunny Fort Lauderdale, where we landed and b-lined it to nearest bar to get the blood flowing.  With a clear head and a strong buzz we made our way to Revolution Live where the Holy Ship Pre-party would take place.  There we were graces with sets from Dave Nada, Dillon Francis, Dj Craze and of course Major Lazer.

Dillon Francis got on stage and got the crowd warmed up.  He tweeted the day before stating he would play solely a Nu-Disco set, but the prince of moombahton came out with guns-a-blazin’.  Dillon played just about every tune you’d want to hear from his arsenal of tracks.  Here is a video of Dillon playing, “Hits Me Like A Rock”.

Next up was DJ Craze, who comes from Miami and is a well known world champion turntablist, with multiple titles behind his name.  Craze gave the crowd a bit of everything; moombahton, electro, dubstep, drum and bass and more.  He displayed his scratching abilities from time to time and really got the crowd pumped for the headliner of the night…

By the time that Diplo had taken the stage, it was just about the craziest party I have ever been to.  Diplo went under the Major Lazer alias this time, but Switch and Skerrit Boi were both out of the lineup for the night, but to replace them he added none other than MC Riff Raff Sodmg and a couple girls that knew how to dance like I’ve never seen before.  Diplo came out and played one of his classic sets, mixing in what felt like thousands of songs into a 2 hour set.  By this time the entire stage was filled with industry people, deejays and groupies, and in true Dankles fashion, we managed to sneak backstage and watch Diplo mix while standing along side Skrillex, A-trak, Dillon Francis, Zedd and more.  This show was nothing but a great time, and this post doesn’t do the show’s energy justice, so check out some more pictures and video and pretend like you were dancing like an idiot just like us.
