Being that Leap Day would be our first time sponsoring Wednesday nights freshest dance party, we had a lot to look forward too going into the day. I had been floored for weeks due to the news that Reuben Wu of Ladytron fame would be headlining the event with an oh so fresh cast featuring: Le FonzRay ComplexSoOhSixPhenom, and Ghosthouse. Running back and forth between the front room and main stage became a game of who’s throwin the better banger, with each opener dropping juke-filled beats for the crowd to break a sweat too as the place began to fill out. Reuben graced stage around 12:30 and delivered one hell of a set by playing nothing but back to back gem’s for my ears to enjoy. This was a DJ set of the highest degree; CDJs and a mixer with no use of a laptop left me in awe while his track selection kept the feet of many in a state of constant movement. We decided to call it a night at 2:30 to prepare for the rest of the week, but let it be known that if you’re looking for the best Hump Day dance party release, head to Zombies Vs Skeletons at Cobra for a damn good time.
