When we interviewed Jay Fay back in February (read it here) and he mentioned a collab with New Orleans native MC, G-Eazy, we had no idea what we were in store for.  So yesterday when “Starlife” was released, we were more than excited to hear the outcome of this explosive synergy.  G-Eazy’s feel-good vocals are reminiscent of the good old days when lyrics from rappers like Big L or Easy E actually made people laugh out loud and we’re constantly spitting hate back and forth like today.  And when that combines with Jay Fay’s soca sounds, lethal drop and a kick drum that makes my heels clap, the product is a fresh dose of booty-clapping moombahton to lift your early week blues and get you thinking about Friday already.  This track is part of Jay Fay’s latest EP, $$oops$$, that he drops on us today, which has something for everyone, including more collabs with producers such as  J-Trick and Ra Cailum, and is sure to turn any moombahton nay-sayer into an instant believer.
