Oh, how I’ve missed G.O.O.D. Music. After the album-worthy weekly series known as G.O.O.D. Fridays leading up the release of 2010’s spectacular My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Kanye’s label has stayed relatively quiet, except for releasing Big Sean’s Finally Famous. Lucky for us they are looking to make 2012 their year, with a G.O.O.D. Music album coming out this fall, and if the entire album is at the standard of the first single, “Mercy,” then I am counting down the days until I get to hear the rest of it. The beat has a southern-sizzurp feel to it, sounding like something that A$AP Rocky would spit over. Big Sean starts the song off strong with his chopped-up vocals and signature off-beat flow, with Pusha T (of Clipse), Ye, and 2 Chainz following with solid verses. Kanye takes the prize for best verse, with great rhymes such as “something about Mary, she off that molly/now her whole party is melted like Dali.”
