The nice things about a genre getting a little bit bigger (like moombah has) is that you start to see all kinds of subgenres submerge from the shadows. One of my favorite routes that a producer has taken has been King Kong’s take on what he calls moombahsoul. This mellowed out moombah has that steady bass but with a much more R&B oriented feel to it than the reaggaeton in other kinds of moombah. King Kong is a producer out of Portugal who has put out a pretty reasonable amount of music over the past year with everything from originals to remixes of tunes from Diplo and Doctor P. Below’s his latest track ‘Take Care’ that just dropped a few days ago, along with a couple other tunes of his I’ve been listening to.
