I’ve said this about the rising rap star from Harlem before and I’ll say it again- the girl knows how to pick beats. Before she even had an official release, she was rapping over the likes of Diplo and Lunice, and now that we finally see the first EP from the 21 year-old, she doesn’t plan on stopping her rise to the top anytime soon. The EP features two previously released songs (“212”, her first single, and “Liquorice”) and two brand new Machinedrum-produced tracks that fit alongside the others perfectly. While Miss Banks says that she wants to focus more on singing, she spits harder than any other female rapper today on this EP, over crazy dance beats that would be great just as instrumentals. Look out for her to drop a new mixtape this summer, and her official debut CD later this year.
