Jamie Jones may not be a household name in the U.S. yet, but you better start paying attention to the rapidly growing East London native. Becoming a resident DJ in Ibiza’s Space Terrace at the age of 16, Jones has over 10 years of experience under his belt and has been the performing DJ for BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix twice already. Jones has recently teamed up with fellow Hot Natured member Lee Foss to create one of the fastest growing labels by the name of Hot Creations. Already capturing several beatport “song of the week’s”, the label has been at the forefront of the increasingly popular nu-disco/minimal deep/tech house sound. Through the years, Jones has released material on the highly esteemed Cocoon, BPitch, and Get Physical Music labels to name a few. Showcasing his highly original, extremely funky, and curiously catchy sound worldwide, Jamie was named the #1 DJ in 2011 by Resident Advisor. His sophomore full-length album “Tracks From The Crypt (Lost Classics From The Vault)” was released on Damian Lazarus’s Crosstown Rebels this past week and it further highlights his innovative spin on the Detroit house sound. This music is best enjoyed with a good bass system, as most of the tracks are heavy on the sexy bass lines and deep synths. Below we have tacked on a few tracks from the album for your listening pleasure, if you really want all this sexy suave bass goodness you’ll have to hop on over to Beatport to grab the release in its entirety.
