Flying Lotus and Adult Swim go way back, so it’s no surprise that the late-night TV block chose Flying Lotus to be one of the featured artist on this year’s “Adult Swim Singles Program 2012,” alongside artists such as Com Truise and Wavves. The West Coast producer enlisted the help of Odd Future’s Earl Sweatshirt for the track, alongside a mysterious rapper known as “Captain Murphy” (the name comes from Sealab 2021, an Adult Swim show). There are rumors surfacing about who this person could be, with many guessing Tyler, the Creator or even Flying Lotus himself, but it’s impossible to tell as the voice is constantly warping throughout the track. One thing’s for sure- FlyLo created a crazy, late-night beat that allows Earl to throw down some insane verses and the Captain Murphy parts are incredibly intriguing to say the least.
