If you are familiar with the punk band Wavves, then you know that’s not the sort of music we’re used to seeing on The Dankles. That has changed recently with frontman Nathan’s new side project with his little brother, Sweet Valley, that trades in the fast guitars and drums for 808′s and synths. Their newest track is the best we’ve heard from them yet, with a catchy piano melody, hard-hitting snares, and layers that continue to build on each other for the duration of the song. Their instrumental mixtape is releasing soon on Fool’s Gold, and today the band announced that they will be opening for GZA & Killer Mike on their upcoming tour.
