I was pleasantly surprised when I first discovered DIIV through the soundcloud account CapturedTracks. I discovered DIIV, a great Brooklyn band that sounds unmistakably like Beach Fossils and other shoe gaze rock. I discovered DIIV, but also found out about a bunch of great Brooklyn artists that share a similar sound. Memory Tapes is the most recent discovery and it’s been a great one thus far. They stick to the original in this mix, and just add a beat with slight electronic tinges to cap it off. It’s a perfect lazy afternoon track to add to your library!
