There’s no denying that one of the fathers of Moombahton has more knowledge and talent than most, and with this release today of the Trap Bubbling EP, Munchi catapults himself into a whole new league.  As trap has become more than an epidemic in the past few months, starting small and growing to the masses (even catching the interest of the most well-known producers), its high time that everyone recognize that trap is nothing new or unexplored.  Munchi along with a plethora of other people have been producing trap for years.  This release is a follow up after the previously released Rotterdam Trap EP (you can find that here), and features 8 tracks with a ridiculous line up.  Drawing inspiration from so many classics, you will hear from everyone including JWLS, Buraka Som Sistema, Waka Flocka, Juicy J, The Diplomats, Meek Mill, Rick Ross, and more.  If you’re looking for somewhat of an education on the background of this trap phenomenon that is growing faster than the bubonic plague back in the Byzantine Empire days, then look no further, class is in session, and Munchi is our professor.  Personal highlights in my opinion are the rework of “Fuck This” which stays true to the roots of the original track but take it to next level status (if this is possible) and the rework of “A$$” that is simply electrifying.
