Hot off the heels of Hot Creation’s highly successful residency at DC-10 Ibiza this summer, the funky/nu-disco/deep house label Hot Waves (operated under the Hot Creation’s umbrella) has released it’s third compilation album, Hot Waves 3. If you haven’t heard of the first two installments (some select favorites below), Hot Waves has been one of the most successful and progressive deep house compilations to date. An interesting mix of all different types of house genres, you never know what to expect from a Hot Waves album. That being said, some of my personal favorites from the album include: Lee Websters seductive nu-disco banger “Spending All Her Money”, Bartolomeo’s extremely trippy vocal-heavy “Jean In Not Death”, T-boy & Wildkats’s now signature rave/deep house sound in “Denied”, Richy Ahmed & Miguel Campbell’s disco-techy track “Tell Me Why”, and mostly, Funky Fat’s mesmerizing remix of Digitaria’s “Crazy Life”. Below is an album preview, this is not one to sleep on, if you are planning on buying any house albums this year, this should be the one. Also, due to the heavy sexy deep basslines in these tracks, if you don’t have a good set of speakers or headphones, you may as well not even listen.  Keep your ears out for Hot Waves Volume 4 due to release later this fall as well!
