Yesterday, Pitchfork premiered a brand new track from New York indie rockers, School Of Seven Bells.  I discovered School Of Seven Bells during their Alpinisms , and still to this day I listen to that EP every once in a while.  If you don’t have it, it’s the perfect introduction to this duo.  This new track, “Secret Days” isn’t a far departure from anything we’ve heard before.  To tell the truth I haven’t kept up with the last LP and discovered recently that Claudia (a third memeber) left the band in 2010.  Despite this bump in the road, it appears that School Of Seven Bells has had no problem putting out new and exciting music.  “Secret Days” is characterized by a big fat bassline that seems to trump all over instruments.  Alejandra’s vocals soar and croon at the perfect moments and allow for this new tune to just float along.  “Secret Days” is the first single off their new records, Put Your Sad Down, due out on Vagrant Records on Nov. 13th!
