WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Internships – We need few individuals to help us with day to day tasks such as posting, site maintenance, social media activity, and other routine tasks. This position entails daily tasks, so please be prepared to dedicate a bit of time. We are accepting applicants from all regions of the U.S., and possibly internationally. It is a must to have WordPress experience or other blog/website related experience. Journalism experience is also a must. We will ask that you submit a written piece of work from either the past or a mock write up. Individuals must work well with a team and be prepared to handle tasks when they arise. Having both web design experience and graphic design experience is a plus, too. We will be looking to bring on 3-5 interns in this initial stage. We take this job very seriously, candidates that do not show us a certain level of professionalism will NOT be considered.
- Web Designer – For this position, you will function as an on-call designer for The Dankles. When a problem arises, we will call upon this person to help in a timely manner. We ask that applicants are highly experienced web designers and have previous work to show us. You must be able to work well with a team, and and effectively handle constructive criticism. Obviously, a thorough understanding of HTML code is a MUST.
- Graphic Designer – For this position, you will function as an on-call designer for The Dankles. As stated above, your duties will include, but are not limited to, creating flyers, album artwork, social media art, and website designs all in a very timely manner. This person will have to be comfortable with taking constructive criticism and requests for changes to their work. Previous experience and a portfolio are both necessary. Prior experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or any other creditable graphic designer software is mandatory. We may request you to create a mock-up piece to assess your creative ability and turn-around time.
- Photographer/Videographer – We are looking for one or two concert photographers/videographers to join our team in the Boulder/Denver, New York (photo only) and Chicago (video only) regions. Experience and a portfolio is required. You will be asked to attend various shows/events and document them with press access. Turn-around times on projects if of the utmost importance. Applicants must be able to work well with a team and take requests/constructive criticism. This position also requires that you have all of your own equipment.
