Although 3.A.M., a Toronto-based trio, dropped a few killer bootlegs and remixes this past year, which actually landed them in Hypemachine’s top 5, they haven’t been able to kick up too much dust. However, this new original– their first, in fact– is going to change all of that.
As Earmilk.com, where this tune debuted, points out, the heavy synths lines and persistent rhythm draws sticking comparisons to Daft Punk. However, they allow this track to take on a life of its own with a haunting, distorted sample and an intangible darkness that resonates from start to finish. This is a remarkably high quality debut track. Look for big things from these Canadians in the near future.
