There must be something in the French water that gives their people an extra “je ne sais quoi” upper hand when it comes to producing Electro-House. Well, maybe not a quality that all French-born humans can brag about, but definitely a quality belonging to the unique duo called “AGLORY”. Switching gears a bit, the EP consists first of the original mix “Ajang” which touches more to the double time footwork part of the spectrum as AGLORY sways away from Electro. The original will have you clapping as commanded like a vampire hypnotized toward the smell of blood. Contributing to the cause are producers Kid Cedek, Aire Atlantica and Big Makk, who each lend a different element to complete the pieces to the big picture puzzle. Aire Atlantica melds his signature electo style into his version with heavy synth slams and big room build up and drop technique. Big Makk’s version features a dark but subtle looping scale that hovers over the original work to give it an eerie feel. Lastly, Kid Cedek’s version features a minimalistic B-more style breakdown with deceivingly delicate piano samples that explodes into a trap, trap bubblin’, B-more, melting pot. The EP is rounded out with one more original mix by AGLORY entitled “Suave” which is my favorite track of the EP. I really like how the track explores multiple sounds as I picked up jungle-esque synths over trap basslines infused with an R&B vibe thanks to the female vocal sample utilized.
