Chaz Bundick, better known as the front man of Toro Y Moi has taken the indie scene by storm already this year with his album Anything in Return. Receiving constant praise by Tyler, The Creator via twitter, Toro Y Moi encompasses Bundick’s vocals alongside a psychedelic, funky, chill beat that I find hard to not dance to. Although his music has a poppy feel to it that makes you want to dance and sing, the beats are very relaxing and I actually fall asleep to Anything in Return multiple times a week. Bundick’s solo project, Les Sins expands on the production seen by Bundick into something more sped up and he takes elements from the house scene intertwined with his funky baselines and poppy synths. Grind is constantly evolving throughout this song, becoming ever funkier every minute, while the B-side track, Prelims, takes a deeper more rhythmic approach. Les Sins is releasing these singles on 12″ March 18th via Jiaolong Records.
