Deepness Records

Ecuadorian label Deepness Records dropped one of my favorite compilations of the year today, aptly named the “Deepness Compilation”. Featuring original tracks from up-and-comers and veterans, the compilation takes the listener on a journey through the darker, more demented side of house music. Everything from disco to tech house to deep house can be found on this amazing 15-track album, so be sure to check out the songs below and purchase this killer LP full of deep secret weapons!

Peruvian duo Backtobasics kicks off the compilation with the sexy and smooth “Bang Bang”. This track is highlighted by a funky dark bassline and an enticing female vocal sample that’s hard not to groove to. Relative newcomer Thallulah is up on the compilation next showcasing her ability to make one hell of a vicious track with “Change”. This haunting yet hypnotizing track takes the album into the dark after-hours vibe, which continues with Zuckre‘s “Desires”. Label-boss Andres Cordova puts forth a sleazy deep house track “Wanna Dance” that is sure to be a DJ favorite and Clouded Judgement comes on with their usual G-house swagger to absolutely kill it on “Hustle”. Other highlights include Paul Diep’s after-hours track “Showdown” with screaming synths and a creeping bass, Marco Tegui‘s dreary yet soulful “Try It More…”, and Ben Clarke‘s infectiously powerful “Lost”.
