French Fries has been churning out bass-driven energetic tracks for over three years now, releasing hot material via top-notch labels such as dirtybird Records, Youngunz Ent., and Mad Decent just to name a few. Following his extremely well-received debut on ClekClekBoom Recordings entitled “Champagne/Hugz” in late 2011, French Fries is back on the Parisian label with this amazing EP, “Everything/White Screen/D’Angelo,” out today!
This album kicks off with “Everything,” which starts with ambient synths slowly building over a bootytechin drumline. The synths swell until they finally release into a bass-driven and funky track that sounds just like a dirtybird signing. “White Screen” is up next starting with more of a tech-house feel in the beginning. The song slowly adds on elements and builds into an entrancing track that breaks out into a full on booty-shaking 808 track to get those bodies moving. The EP closes out with “D’Angelo,” which is a vicious track and my personal favorite from the album. What really gets me about this one is the minute-long reprise halfway through the track that takes the listener on a journey before exploding back into the bootytech we’ve come to love from French Fries.
