Breach is the deeper, darker moniker of veteran UK house producer Ben Westbeech, a professionally trained vocalist and cellist that has been churning out feel-good tunes such as “Something For The Weekend” since 2007. Ben primarily draws on jazz, soul, and hip-hop influences to create a poppish house sound that’s hard to hate. Stepping into a more bootytech and deep house sound, Ben’s Breach alias has been making some huge waves on the house scene recently, starting up a new label called Naked Naked Records, and releasing a steady flow of massive productions. His most recent offering, the “Jack” EP just may be his best effort yet!
The title track was THE song of the dirtybird crew at WMC this year. Everyone from Eats Everything to Skream to Justin Martin dropped this track in the peak of their sets, and every time got the same frenzied response from the crowd. The chanting “I want your body, everybody wants your body, so let’s jack” will undoubtably get stuck in your head, and the bass is vicious on a good system. This song is perfect for any crowd looking to party. “Let’s Get Hot” is up next, full of heavy 808 kicks and funky synth stabs that just scream dirtybird Records. The whispered “Come on let’s see you sweat, come on now let’s get hot” is yet another sample that will stick with you well after you hear this track, but in case you’re not feeling the vocals, Breach has added a dub version as the last track of the EP.
“Jack” is a song that I’m sure nearly every DJ will play in the upcoming months, so grab your copy today! Also, be sure to follow Breach and Ben Westbeech on Facebook, SoundCloud, and Twitter for all of his updates!
