After a somewhat disappointing first studio album in 2012, Big K.R.I.T. is back with his first release of 2013, and he delivers. The (almost) entirely self-produced mixtape, King Remembered In Time (K.R.I.T.), leaves nothing to be desired. From the production, to the rapping, to the cover art, King Remembered In Time is a reminder of why the hip hop world fell in love with the Mississippi rapper in the first place. K.R.I.T. absolutely masters the art of balancing Southern anthems (King Without A Crown, How U Luv That) with songs that make you want to hop in a 1970’s Lincoln Continental and just cruise around all night.
