With the summer quickly approaching it’s about that time! Everyone is solidifying their plans and figuring out just where they will be heading over the course of the next few months so if you’re gonna make some adjustments it’s best to get on that sooner than later. Over here at The Dankles we will be spread far and wide covering all kinds of festivals which we will be giving you all the down low on before we head on out there ourselves! The first stop on our tour this summer will entail taking a little trip from the mountains of CO to the city of Quincy in Northern California for Emissions West Coast Bass Culture. This will be our first time getting on board with Emissions and we couldn’t be more excited for 3 days of stuttering bass music. Though they have yet to announce the second phase of artists their initial line up is already enough to have us chomping at the bit to get on the road! With a phase one lineup boasting DJ Shadow, The Polish Ambassador, ill.Gates, Kill Paris, Luminox, Minnesota, Nasty Nast, Stylust Beats, and G Jones already it’s hard to imagine the second slew of artist could disappoint at all. If this lineup is looking a little foreign to you then let us open your ears to some flavors from these talented producers so you know just what sets you wanna catch as the bass envelops your weekend.

:: DJ Shadow ::

Making a little stop on his ‘All Bases Covered’ tour at Emissions is just what you guys are going to need added to your weekend. If you yearn for a well rounded set that touches base on most every type of bass music then DJ Shadow will be right up your alley. Throwing down everything from old school hip hop vibes to the most ground breaking experimental bass out there this set is sure to go off. After Shadow’s fiasco in Miami that set him off on this tour initially we have been looking forward to catching a set from this OG.

:: The Polish Ambassador ::

Coming at us from another galaxy all together The Polish Ambassador is always coming through with one thing in mind; it’s time to party. Donning his notorious electric nylon jumpsuit you won’t be able to miss this guy if you strut on by his set. Throwing us everything from funky fresh glitched out bass tracks to whimsical mellow toned melodies this is a set to catch if you have yet to be exposed to the antics of The Polish Ambassador live in person.

:: Luminox ::

Having just had Luminox out in CO last month to kick off Trapfest it’s safe to say this guy knows how to party. After getting recognition last year after rising up on the surging wave of trap music Luminox is holding on strong by churning out banger after banger. With a safe bank of originals and remixes Luminox is sure to bring a fun time to Emissions whenever he gets to hop on the decks.

:: Minnesota ::

Out of all these artists aforementioned Christian Bauhofer is definitely one of my most anticipated acts of the weekend. Having had the opportunity to catch a handful of sets from him in multiple venues throughout the country I always have a hard time turning down a Minnesota set. Dishing out the perfect blend of blissful astral bass and raunchy gut churning drops you guys better be ready for some heat! Hot off the release of his newest EP ‘Eternal Frequencies: Equinox’ you can rest assured this is gonna be another highlight of the weekend!

:: Stylust Beats ::

Having just been turned on to Stylust Beats just around the end of 2012 it has been great to see this guy straight decimating 2013 thus far! Having not seen a set from Stylust Beats before you can be sure we’re looking forward to it. With a bag packed full of everything from funky fresh bass to bangin’ hip hop Stylust is sure to have something in store that’s right up your alley. Also you might just want to keep your eyes peeled on us over here at The Dankles JUST IN CASE we have some smokin’ hot freshness from Geoff before Emissions is upon us. :)

:: G Jones ::

Bringing up the rear of the first phase annoucement don’t let his spot on the poster mistake you, G Jones is going to be coming through with one of the most wild sets of the weekend. Having just came up on our radar this past year it’s safe to say this guy knows exactly what’s up. Having already churned out a stockpile of originals it’s almost uncanny how often we have been seeing his name crop up on other artists remixes as well. That being the case we’re stoked to see what material G Jones is going to pull out for this weekend but we will just have to wait patiently to see what he whips out!
