Friendzone (born James Lawrence and David Reznick), a duo from the Bay area just premiered three new tracks that will be delivered on their forthcoming debut album. Friendzone has done work with hip-hop artists like Yung Lean, Mykki Blanco and other bay area rappers, even appeared on Kuchibiru Network 3. You could say they’d fit in nicely with a group like WeDidIt.
These three tracks are the first we’re hearing from Friendzone’s debut album, DX. There is no release date yet, but from the sound of these three tracks, I can honestly say I’m looking forward to it. Trill beats, slowed-down R&B, hazy synth soundscapes and pitch vocals describe their music, but you have to listen to understand. It’s a bit out there, but music that pushes the normalities is cool, so get down with Friendzone.
