DJ Snake, Yellow Claw and Spanker have dropped quite the anthem with this one. DJ Snake & Yellow Claw have arguably been at the helm of the Trap/Twerk movement for the last few months. Dj Snake had his big break after the release of “Bird Machine”, the ubiquitous twerk anthem, whereas Yellow Claw’s “Amsterdam Trap Music” EP saw a well received release through Mad Decent imprint Jeffrees early this year. Spanker, on the other hand, sees his debut along side two well established artists. The three come together for this peak-time trunk-shaker, and all have brought their A-game to the table.

The tune deftly weaves together a myriad of different influences without straying too far from the established twerk/trap template. Some old school rave chords in the build mesh together with the familiar “hey!” chants popularized by trap producers. Yellow Claw’s moombahton background can be distinctly heard in the drop, where the trio bring a distinctly bleepy lead synth to the forefront. A brief dem-bow pattern even makes a brief appearance – attesting to genre defining prowess of these producers. Although some might critique the simplistic nature of the tune, its pretty hard not to get hyped by those driving cow bells and plodding 808 kicks.
