Michael Diamond is the new and refreshing sounds coming Los Angeles artist Blood Diamonds.  The young artist came to recognition through a series of near-perfect remixes for a number of artists.  If you get a chance to check out Blood Diamond’s SoundCloud page, please give his remixes for Major Lazer, CHVRCHES and Kendrick Lamar a listen (but don’t stop there).  Blood Diamond’s released his huge tune “Barcode” featuring Dominic Lord nearly seven months ago.  The hip-hop influenced tune is incredibly catchy on it’s own, but we’re now seeing a new set of remixes coming down the pipeline.

Barcode Pt. II EP is just three tracks.  The first is the instrumental of the original, which on it’s own doesn’t feel nearly as empty as you’d expect.  The second is a future-bass remix from Texas producer Widdler.  Widdler manipulates the original vocals and adds another layer of bass; this remix is not to be missed.  The third track is Com Truise’s remix.  We all know Com Truise is the master of making the new sound like old.  From the very start of the remix, you can hear Com Truise’s patented drums.  Soon the retro synth-work sporadically builds the track and Com Truise uses the vocals to his advantage.  Don’t miss out on this EP; join the Nest’s Drip.FM to download.
