No stranger to the electronic music world, one might say The Magician has a magic touch. A former member of the nu disco group Aeroplane, Stephen Fasano aka The Magician has been able to continue to stand out from the pack. His monthly mixtape series, The Magic Tapes, have become a must-have staple for any music buff and his work with artists such as Yuksek and Jeppe have earned the Belgian artist a stellar reputation for creating hit after hit. His most recent work is his track, “When The Night Is Over”, which is a sexy party anthem in which he steps towards a harder hitting sound rather than his disco roots. Only a mere two weeks old, the track has already received plays from artists such as Busy P, Digitalism and The Bloody Beetroots, as well as a remix from Brodinski. The latest artist to remix, “When The Night Is Over”, is masked German producer Claptone who has given the song a sleek new makeover. It’s a direction we haven’t yet seen from the song; slowing the track and pitching down the vocals. The heavy bass of the original is replaced with a melodic piano, which provides the song with a catchy yet almost melancholic feel. This remix takes the title of the song quite literally, turning it into the perfect track to listen to just as the party starts to wind down and the dawn begins to break. Out on Parlophone Records, Claptone’s remix is up for a free download. Give it a listen and download below.
