A couple weeks ago we introduced the duo from San Francisco via Louisiana known as Painted Palms.  A Polyvinyl Records artist, their upcoming album is bound to make waves in the indie-dance/psych-rock community.  In early November, the duo released the first single from their album, a track titled “Spinning Signs“, that received a health dose of chatter from the blogosphere and beyond.  The second and title track of the album, “Forever”, was recently premiered via music outlet Noisey and has further encouraged my interested in their material.  As mentioned before, Painted Palms has single-handedly revitalized acid-washed psych-rock with tinges of electronic sounds that can’t help but be compared to the Beatles’ Revolver era.  Crooning melodies and grand approaches to each track gives their sound an epic quality that is surely matched by only a few.  Forever drops on January 14th via Polyvinyl, pre-order the album now.
