Hot off of topping Beatport’s charts with Amine Edge & DANCE‘s Our G-House Sauce EP, the guys over at Sleazy G (under the mighty Sleazy Deep umbrella) are at it again! This time, Frenchman Sirus Hood takes the reigns in what is sure to be one of the best G-house releases out.
The title track, “Bad Boys,” uses a perfectly-chopped sample from P. Diddy‘s “Bad Boy For Life,” and is simply a peak-set BOMB. The bassline is something vicious, and it will be sure to get a phenomenal response from any crowd. Keeping things gangster, “Groupie Luv” is another infectious party-starting track that is impossible not to like. Featuring a Tone Tone sample and a collaboration with Still Boyz, “Groupie Luv” is highlighted by its funky, dark, and ghetto bassline, hints of 808 hits, and a complimentary synth. On remix duty for the Bad Boys EP is Sirus Hood’s good friend, and fellow Frenchman, Shiba San. These two have collaborated a bunch in the past, and the result is always extremely impressive. Shiba San’s remix of “Bad Boys” sees the producer strip back the original and give it a little more melodic and mellow of a vibe (though, only slightly). The final track, “Get Them Off,” uses a great B.G. sample and has a BIG sound to it. This track is one that can absolutely bring down the house on a club speaker system and it will be in my box for years to come.
Track-for-track, the Bad Boys EP is arguably my favorite G-house album yet, as it has everything you look for in a G-house EP (heavy basslines, waning synths, and ghetto vocal samples). You’d honestly be an absolute fool not to pick up a copy of this!
