Louis Futon Ms. New Booty

The original “Ms. Fat Booty” bumped off Mos Def’s 1999 album “Black on Both Sides”. Now two boys from Philly who go by the hilariously punny name of Louis Futon remixed the 90’s tune into a dance track. These guys, Tyler Minford and Logan Zoghby, took a down-tempo hip-hop song and amplified it into something pretty fun. The 90’s old-school hip-hop vibes are replaced with claps and snaps from the kick drum. An electronic dance beat breaks in to keep the song flowing. Influenced by Mr. Carmack, Cashmere Cat, Jacuzzi, and Drake, Louis Futon does a wonderful job sending odes to those artists while maintaining a unique sound. Plus they have the right attitude. “We make music because we love music and would be lifeless souls without it” is how they’ve explained themselves. When it comes to their genre, they are adamant to remain undefined. And they even strive to keep their music free. To access their free downloads check out MediaFire.
