dear deer recordings

Ukrainian-based deep house label, Dear Deer, is back with the second volume of their phenomenal compilation series. Coming onto the scene only a year ago, Dear Deer has made a name for themselves by consistently providing quality deep house release after release.

Honestly, every track on this album is awesome in its own way, but some highlights from the album for me are 2Gether, who starts things off on the right foot with his headstrong deep house track “Need You.” This is a peak-set bomb that’s guaranteed to get the dance floor going! “Another Way” from Anturage and Amnesia Haze adds a touch of nu-disco to the compilation with funky synthlines and soulful vocal samples. The more I listen to this track, the more and more I love it! Futurpoets adds a driving, breakbeat, and slightly g-house track with “Pop & Shake.” This track is really unique and I can see it working it’s way in smoothly to all different types of sets. Juan K Paul provides a gritty g-house track with “The Dream.” “’96” from Robin Virag seriously throws it back to the nineties with a stripped back oldschool house sound. Rod Fussy also has a sleazy deep house cut with “You Make Me Wanna” that’s eerie yet beautiful.
