These days New York based band HeartsRevolution arrive in style – literally. In their Swarovski-encrusted ice cream truck, band members Leyla ‘Lo’ Safai and Ben Pollock have been able to turn heads and garner attention where ever they go. While they certainly know how to make an entrance, it has been their resurgence of noise-punk and riot grrrl sounds mixed with a fresh and boundary pushing dance influence that have allowed them to become multi-faceted performers that exist beyond mere hype.
With their debut full length album, Ride Or Die set to drop April 15 via OWSLA and Kitsune, HeartsRevolution have allowed their fans to stream several of the tracks, including its title single. “Ride Or Die” is a quintessential modern pop anthem, with a unique relatability and commercial quality that allows the track to transcend beyond its punk rock qualities. It’s fast paced attitude and catchy cheerleader style chants will work any listener into a frenzy, and will leave them wanting more once the last dial tone fades away.
