timthumb Every once in a while we stumble across an artist who has a great team around them from the start, providing them with an early breakout in their career . Ryn Weaver is one of those artists. She actually reminds me a lot of Banks due to her works great producers right at the beginning of her career. Banks enlisted Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs for “Warm Water,” while Ryn Weaver was able to get Cashmere Cat, Michael Angelakos (of Passion Pit), and Benny Blanco to co-produce “Octohate.” Promises will surely put Ryn on the map as one of the artists to keep an eye on this year. Her enthusiastic vocals provide for a space of upbeat, high energy R&B while it seems the trend lately for female vocalists has been mostly mellow, sorrowful tunes.
